Thomas Mining SARL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and related equipment in its mining and industrial facilities in Congo. The successful candidate will help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical and hydraulic equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance.
ELECTRICIAN (MAINTENANCE)
Qualifications:
- Male, 25–40 years old.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a similar role.
- Must possess a valid TESDA NC II Certificate related to Electrical Installation and Maintenance or an equivalent trade.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Ability to install and maintain electrical wiring, lighting systems, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulic equipment maintenance is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial or mining environments.
- Safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, water equipment, and related facilities.
- Install, replace, and modify electrical conduits, wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on electrical and hydraulic equipment to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation.
- Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments and perform corrective repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Test electrical systems after installation or repair to verify proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Inspect motors, control panels, pumps, distribution systems, and other electrical equipment for defects or wear.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform other electrical maintenance duties as assigned.
