HEAD CHEF ASSISTANT

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of working experience is required.
• Candidate must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in any field or similar fields.
• Extensive experience in professional kitchen operations and culinary management.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
• Experience supervising, training, and mentoring kitchen staff.
• Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Act as Officer-in-Charge during the Head Chef’s absence.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating activities.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion control, and presentation of all dishes.
• Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff and junior cooks.
• Monitor kitchen productivity and ensure efficient teamwork during busy service periods.
• Maintain food quality standards and ensure compliance with recipes and specifications.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
• Assist in menu planning, inventory control, and kitchen organization.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef to improve kitchen operations and workflow.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Support the achievement of operational, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
