Working International Resourcing Limited is seeking experienced Lineman to join our team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with high-voltage transmission line installation and maintenance, strong technical skills, and the ability to work safely at heights.

LINEMAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years full-time substantiated work experience as a Linesperson, including at least 1 year within the past 5 years.
  • Ability to obtain IELTS score of 5 or above.
  • Proven experience stringing high-voltage transmission lines (230kV+).
  • Ability to safely work at significant heights.
  • Skilled in sagging, clipping, tensioning, and installation of line hardware.
  • Knowledge of pre-assembly and erection of steel transmission towers.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • String new 230kV+ transmission lines (distribution and maintenance work only will not be considered).
  • Climb and work at heights of up to 70 meters for extended periods.
  • Clip, sag, and terminate conductors.
  • Install line spacers and vibration dampers on conductors.
  • Perform sagging of conductors using two-span methods.
  • Tension conductors from platforms and Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs).
  • Clamp conductors safely from EWPs and ladders.
  • Draw wire and twin (minimum) conductor OPGW runs; Quad conductor experience preferred.
  • Install spacers with line carts.
  • Perform over 5 km of stringing for new transmission towers.
  • Pre-assemble and erect steel towers according to engineering specifications.
  • Use hot sticks and follow safe operational procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and supervisors to ensure timely and safe project completion.
