FIELD JOINT COATING TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Vocational or technical diploma in Mechanical, Coating Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
  • Proven experience in industrial coating, pipeline coating, or field joint application is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and safety procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy machinery in field conditions
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and safety-conscious
  • Ability to work in remote or offshore environments under physically demanding conditions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor robotic field joint coating machinery on-site
  • Prepare and apply coatings to pipeline joints according to engineering specifications
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure coating thickness, adhesion, and finish meet standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment and field process issues, providing solutions to maintain productivity
  • Collaborate with project engineers, technicians, and field teams for smooth operations
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory for on-site operations
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
  • Document work performed, including reports on quality, progress, and field observations
