We are seeking a skilled and dependable Farm Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service a wide range of farm machinery and vehicles, including tractors, pickups, backhoes, chainsaws, and other agricultural equipment. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment is kept in safe, efficient working condition to support daily farm operations.

Farm Mechanic/Equipment Technician

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an agricultural or heavy equipment mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of machinery
• Welding/fabrication experience is an advantage
• Able to work independently and in physically demanding farm conditions
• Preferably with previous experience in a farm or agricultural setting
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on farm equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Carry out engine repairs, oil changes, and general servicing
• Maintain and repair small engines, including chainsaws, pumps, and generators
• Conduct regular inspections to minimize downtime and breakdowns
• Keep service records and monitor equipment performance
• Manage tools, workshop organization, and spare parts inventory
• Provide on-site and field repairs; prepare equipment for daily and seasonal use
• Support operators with proper equipment handling and basic maintenance
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment
