Swanbuild Pty Ltd. is looking for an experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join their team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in tile installation, surface preparation, and finishing, along with the ability to interpret plans and work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Graduate of a four-year undergraduate course (Construction or related field preferred)
  • Good English communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Good time management and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Install wall and floor tiles according to specifications and design plans
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying plaster, sand, or cement
  • Measure and mark surfaces to determine tile layout and estimate materials required
  • Cut tiles to size and shape using hand tools or mechanical cutting equipment
  • Apply adhesives, fix tiles in position, and ensure proper alignment
  • Apply grout and perform finishing to achieve a high-quality result
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality standards
