MARINE ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Must be a Qualified Marine Engineer with relevant trade or marine certification.
• Must hold a Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 Near Coastal Certification or an international equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, mechanical systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to participate in fishing operations when required.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Must either be exempt from the English language test or have passed an English proficiency test (IELTS or PTE Academic).
• Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a four-wheeled vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain marine engines and mechanical systems onboard vessels.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure engines and equipment operate efficiently and safely during vessel operations.
• Assist with fishing operations and onboard activities when required.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and system failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Follow marine safety regulations and operational procedures at all times.
