Fiber Glass Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience as a Fiberglass Technician or similar role
- Experience in fiberglass fabrication, repair, and finishing
- Knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, and gel coats
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
- Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments
- Willingness to work in Australia
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair fiberglass parts and structures using molds and templates
- Apply fiberglass mat, cloth, and resin to build layers and shapes
- Prepare and mix resins, hardeners, and gel coats according to specifications
- Cut, trim, and finish fiberglass components using grinders and sanders
- Perform sanding, polishing, and surface finishing to achieve smooth, high-quality results
- Inspect finished products for defects and perform necessary repairs
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work area
- Follow safety procedures and use proper PPE
- Coordinate with supervisors and engineers for project requirements
