LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Laboratory Technician
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality control protocols
  • Ability to accurately perform diagnostic testing and handle laboratory equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, label, prepare, and store biological and chemical samples according to established protocols
  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and other specimens using laboratory instruments
  • Analyze test results accurately and report findings in a timely manner
  • Set up, operate, maintain, clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized workspace at all times
  • Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, ensuring availability of reagents and materials
  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with safety regulations
  • Document procedures, test results, and equipment maintenance accurately
