MECHANICAL FITTER – BELT SPLICER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- Candidates must speak and understand English
Responsibilities:
- Installing new conveyor systems and components like idlers, cleaners, and trackers.
- Regularly inspecting belts for wear, tear, and misalignment to identify potential problems.
- Performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize costly operational downtime.
- Working with various materials like rubber, PVC, fabric, and even steel cord belting, each requiring specific tools and methods, such as hot vulcanization, cold bonding, or mechanical fastening.
- Applying or repairing a rubber or ceramic surface to pulleys to improve grip and reduce wear
