LEADING HAND / SUPERVISOR BOILERMAKER

Qualifications:

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in heavy fabrication.
• Demonstrated experience working abroad or in international fabrication environments.
• Advanced proficiency in interpreting fabrication and piping drawings.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of welding procedures, QA documentation, and inspection protocols.
• Relevant tickets such as forklift license, confined space entry, and EWP (preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate boilermakers and welders in workshop and site-based fabrication activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings accurately to guide fabrication of structural steel, piping systems, and tanks.
• Ensure all fabrication work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct and document quality assurance checks in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal procedures.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, promoting adherence to WHS protocols.
• Mentor apprentices and junior tradespeople, supporting skill development and team performance.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, QA personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow and timely project delivery.
