TECHNICAL ADVISOR (DAIMELER TRUCK)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance of truck communication systems, specially CAN bus
• Experience in controls of embedded systems
• Previous experience in vehicle telemetry, diagnostics, and data analytics a plus
• Train, coach and mentor maintenance technicians and operations team members

Responsibilities:

• Performs and oversees the advanced diagnostics for engine performance and chassis systems of Daimler Truck PC and Trucks at MSM Workshop.
• Coordinate the Operational readiness of the Road Train units at the OyuTolgoi mine site with the MSM-SGT team, Daimler Truck and OT site team.
• Provide diagnostic support and on-the-job training for the Daimler Truck and PC technicians as necessary.
• Provide technical information and assistance to the Daimler Truck Service employees as needed.
• Establishes processes and standards to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient and effective service operations.
• Monitor quality of work by following dealership policies.
• Meets with customers as required to verify customers’ concerns.
• Ensures high-quality service and repairs are provided to every customer and maintains a clean and professional shop environment.
• Attends factory training as necessary to maintain certifications.
• Maintains high ethical standards in daily activities.
• Preparing all necessary technical reports required
• Other tasks as necessary to maintain an effective after-sales department.
• Provide technical expertise on Daimler Truck inventory control, parts-fill, and readiness for service to the Parts team
• Make a recommended parts list for the fleet vehicles of large customers and special projects
• Participation in the recommendation of additional requirements and in the determination of the part number
• Sit-in the Diagnostic committee of the Aftersales team and provide expertise in the complex issues of the workshop
• Parameterization using XENTRY Diagnosis and other systems and updating the software (“flashing”)
• Professional redocumentation, for software updates, warranty processing
