Senior Accountant

Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is an advantage.
• At least 8-10 years experience in a similar role in a medium sized organization.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of accounting for financial transactions and preparation of monthly management reports and year end financial statements for the business.
• Manage all financial processes for the business – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Tax Compliance, Cashflow planning, etc.
• Monitor business performance, make financial assessments, highlight trends and analyze drivers of variances.
• Generate financial insights, financial analysis and recommendations in order to support informed business decisions.
• Manage collection from credit customers.
• Manage treasury, banking and cashflow to support daily working capital requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Parts, Service) to resolve any customer and supplier financial related issues.
• Drive internal control procedures and risk management initiatives.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Help to improve business efficiencies and manage costs.
• Act as gatekeeper for financial controls set by the CFO.
• Prepare annual Budget with inputs from the GM and relevant departments.
• Monitor and analyze variances against Budget, highlight risks and opportunities to the business.
• Perform any other related task as assigned by the GM and CFO and as expected of an Accountant.
