Dentist

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine
  • Proven experience as a dentist
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools , and diagnostics
  • Adhere to compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and instruction on taking care or teeth and gums
  • Diagnosing and treating problems patients teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth
  • Educate patients on oral healthcare
  • Assess treatment options and agree to treatment plans with patients
  • Carry out agreed clinical treatments like treating gum disease and restoring teeth affected by decay
  • Maintain patients dental records
  • Recruit train manage members of the medical staff
  • Managing budgets and maintain stocks of equipment

PIH is the only hospital in PNG with advanced services like Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Endoscopy Suite and a Minimal Invasive Surgery Suite for Laparoscopic, Cryotherapy, Arthroscopic and Endoscopic facilities including LASER Lithotripsy. PIH is one of the few hospitals in the country equipped with comprehensive Imaging Suite include Digital X-ray, MRI, CT scan, Ultrasound and Mammography , and equipment like 64 Slice CT Angio and state of the art 1.5 Tesla MRI machines.
