Pastry Chef

Qualifications:

•  Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a strong portfolio of high-quality baked goods and pastries
• Formal training in baking and pastry arts or equivalent professional experience
• Expertise in a variety of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, lamination, and decorating
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• A passion for baking and a creative approach to developing new products
• Knowledge in OHS and Food safety act.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including croissants, Danishes, tarts, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of products
• Decorate and finish pastries with an eye for detail, ensuring that they are visually appealing and aligned with our brand standards
• Experiment with new recipes and techniques to expand our pastry offerings and keep our menu fresh and exciting
• Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering of ingredients to ensure a steady supply of fresh materials
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all health and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking activities and optimize workflow
• Assist with special orders and catering requests, providing high-quality products tailored to customer needs
