Procurement Manager

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, with specific experience in the construction industry or working with construction materials and services.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and services, as well as the construction process.
• Expertise in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
• Strong skills in budgeting and cost control to ensure the procurement process stays within financial limits.
• Ability to resolve issues related to procurement, logistics, or supplier performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate procurement and delivery of materials.
• A degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field is typically preferred. Certifications in procurement or supply chain management can be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with project needs, timelines, and budgets to ensure that construction materials and services are acquired on time and within budget.
• Monitor procurement budgets, track spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that purchasing decisions remain within the allocated project budget.
• Oversee the sourcing and timely delivery of materials, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards, while also managing inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and resolving any contract-related issues with suppliers.
