Laundry Manager

Qualifications:

• With knowledge in laundry & dry cleaning equipment operation/ preventive maintenance / effective laundry chemical
• With driving license and Willing to work night shit duty schedules
• Must have an excellent written and verbal communication skills
• MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to operate laundry, dry-cleaning equipment and to perform stock controls
• Previous leadership experience in a housekeeping/laundry facility preferred
• Provide other duties and services as advised by Executive Housekeeper
• Requires substantial and successful track record in the commercial laundry business
• Team player to lead both internal & external cross functional teams
• Laundry & dry-cleaning experience in hotel
• With knowledge in laundry & dry-cleaning equipment operation/ preventive maintenance / effective laundry chemical

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and directs all aspects of the laundry to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to corporate clients, and individual guests’ laundries.
• Ensure clients’ linen and corporates staffs uniforms are cleaned in a timely fashion.
• Ensures that staff selection, training, performance management, recognition programs and employee engagement initiatives are in place and monitored in order to maximize performance and retention
• Ensures that guest service standards are reviewed and discussed to drive continuous improvement to maximize guest satisfaction
• To uphold and contribute positively to our company’s mission statement, core purpose and core values all of the time.
• Able and willing to work night shift duties as required by the operations and as per the top management directives
• Will make preventive maintenance duty rosters daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly to ensure all laundry and dry cleaning machines are all in good working conditions, and pre-order all the spare parts as required and necessary, avoid breakdown
• Look after the quality, service and cleanliness of the workplace and the Oasis Laundry and Dry Cleaning finished products, including all kinds of Stains and Torn Linens/Other Items
• Recommend and propose appropriate stain removal chemicals and corrective action plans to minimize the unwanted torn of linens and resolve stained linens issues
• Communicate and coordinate any torn and stains issues with the chemical suppliers and specialists for the necessary resolution and much needed support
