FABRICATOR/MODEL MAKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Experience in Architectural Scale Model Making
• Utilize digital fabricators techniques.
• Must have an experience working using a variety of materials in 3D printing.
• Can create rough mock-ups, functional prototypes and finish presentation quality from study model up to physical tangible material
• Knowledgeable of electrical works and painting.
• Can work overtime and under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating 3-dimensional scale models or prototypes of products, structures, and systems.
• Use a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to make models that help engineers and designers visualize a final product.
• Interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications to understand the requirements of products and models
• Designing and constructing models using a variety of materials, including wood, plastic, and metal
• Utilizing various hand tools and machinery for model making such as saws, lathes, milling machines, 3D printers, and more
• Testing and modifying models under different conditions to determine performance and identify flaws
• Working closely with designers and engineers to ensure the model meets all requirements and specifications
