SECURITY GUARD

Qualifications:

• At least 5’7 in height or above
• Ex- Military or Ex- Police Officer
• Knowledge of public safety and security
• Fist aid and self defense certification is a plus
• 5 years experience as security guard

Responsibilities:

• Patrolling: Security guards patrol the interior and exterior of a facility to assess for threats and ensure safety.
• Monitoring: Security guards monitor surveillance equipment, closed-circuit television, and alarms.
• Responding: Security guards respond to emergencies, threats, and reported incidents.
• Documenting: Security guards document incidents, activities, and visitors in security logs or reports.
• Coordinating: Security guards coordinate with law enforcement as necessary.
• Enforcing laws: Security guards enforce laws and protect an employer’s property.
• Controlling access: Security guards control visitor and employee building access.
• Detaining violators: Security guards detain any violators.
• Maintaining environment: Security guards maintain the environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Complying with legal requirements: Security guards comply with legal requirements to maintain the organization’s stability and reputation.
