Property Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on property and facility management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction or facility projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Excellent understanding of budget management, cost estimation, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with local building regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present project updates to senior management
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all civil and structural engineering projects, including the design, construction, and maintenance of company facilities.
- Oversee the execution of capital projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess project requirements, define objectives, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all company properties, including production facilities, offices, and warehouses.
- Ensure that the physical infrastructure of the company is maintained at a high standard, implementing preventative maintenance programs
- Oversee the management of utilities (e.g., water, electricity, gas) and ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Supervise the planning and execution of renovation and improvement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Provide technical expertise in civil engineering aspects, such as site development, structural integrity, and facility upgrades.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that infrastructure complies with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Advise on the technical specifications for construction and maintenance contracts, ensuring the best materials and methods are used.
- Review and approve architectural and engineering drawings and specifications for new projects.
- Ensure all projects and facilities comply with local building codes, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure all contractors and in-house teams adhere to safety regulations during projects.
- Oversee risk assessments and ensure that facilities are maintained to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers for construction, maintenance, and property services.
- Evaluate bids, oversee contract agreements, and ensure that all work performed meets company standards and specifications.
- Ensure that all vendors and contractors deliver projects within the agreed time frame, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for capital projects, facility maintenance, and services.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources and monitor project expenditures to keep within approved financial limits.
- Prepare and present reports on project costs, timelines, and risks to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and facility service staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment, promoting professional growth and skill development within the department.
- Ensure team members are trained and competent to perform their roles effectively, especially in project and facilities management.
