BMS Commissioning Engineer – Electrical

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of BMS systems, including hardware, software, and protocols.
• Proficiency in commissioning tools and software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications in BMS systems or commissioning.
• Experience with specific BMS platforms (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
• Knowledge of building automation standards and codes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute commissioning plans and schedules for BMS projects.
• Commission BMS hardware and software components, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and graphical user interfaces.
• Perform system integration and testing to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BMS systems.
• Coordinate with project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Document commissioning procedures, test results, and system configurations.
• Provide technical support to clients during the commissioning process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BMS technologies and industry best practices.

Monitor HVAC control system performance and make adjustments to optimize energy consumption, occupant comfort, and equipment runtime.
Troubleshoot complex HVAC control issues and collaborate with technicians to identify and resolve faults.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of control system designs, programming, and commissioning for future reference and maintenance.
