QUANTITY SURVEYORS (CIVIL ENGINEER)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, contract administration, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a crucial role in construction projects by managing costs related to building and civil engineering projects.
  • Conduct thorough cost estimation for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess costs.
  • Source materials and subcontractor services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms for the project.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, including terms and conditions related to cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Implement cost control measures to monitor project expenditures against budgets.
  • Identify potential cost overruns or savings opportunities and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize project designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize cost-related risks and ensure project success.
