Car / Vehicle Upholsterer

Qualifications:

• 25 years old and above
• Must be fit to work
• 5+ years of verifiable, consistent & proven work experience
• With overseas experience is a plus
• At least one (1) year of vocational or college education is preferred to exempt candidates from English language proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL or PTE). However, candidates who have not completed this level of education will be required to take one of these English language tests.
• With VALID passport

Responsibilities:

• Consultation and Assessment: Meeting with clients to discuss their specific needs and preferences, assess the condition of the vehicle’s interior, and provide expert advice on materials, colors, and design options.
• Disassembly and Preparation: Dismantling the vehicle’s interior components, such as seats, door panels, and headliners, to prepare them for upholstery work.
• Material Selection and Preparation: Choosing appropriate materials, such as leather, vinyl, fabric, or suede, based on the client’s preferences and budget. Cutting and preparing the materials to the required dimensions.
• Upholstery and Repair: Installing new upholstery materials, repairing damaged components, and ensuring a seamless and professional finish. This may involve techniques like stitching, stapling, gluing, and welding.
• Reassembly: Reassembling the vehicle’s interior components, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Quality Control: Conducting thorough quality checks to ensure the work meets high standards of craftsmanship and durability
• Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during the upholstery process.
• Maintenance and Cleaning: Keeping tools and equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Following safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
