Material Planner

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of related experience in Switchgear manufacturing industry preferably SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC
• With working knowledge in Mechanical Design, Sheet Metal and Copper Fabrication drawings, enclosure.
• Familiarity with 3D and 2D engineering design and manufacturing tools using AutoCad, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.
• Ability to interpret font elevation, one-line and schematic drawings.
• Has good knowledge about mechanical design, sheet metal fabrication and busbar fabrication.
• Good knowledge in EIC Enclosure Types and classifications

Required Skills:

• Should be good in MS office especially with excel and
• Must be proficient in both spoken and written English particularly drafting emails
• Must be aware of Importance and use of ERP in organizations
• Preferably having worked on SAP/any other ERP program.

Educational Requirement:

• BS or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience:

• Should be good in MS office especially with excel and Must be proficient in both spoken and written English particularly drafting emails

• Preferably having worked on SAP/any other ERP program.

Job Description:

• Knowledge of Supply and Demand, Supply chain, Inventory, warehouse & material management.
• Knowledge of materials used in transformers and to define the level of safety stock depending on the category of material.
• Aware of Purchase requisitions/purchase orders and logistics.
• Candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling the materials while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
• Candidate will be required to coordinate with purchase and suppliers to ensure material availability for production usage.
• To perform various material management analysis including Forecast/consumption and to make analysis on slow moving items to keep its stock at the lowest level possible.
• To make sure Purchase Requisitions are converted to Purchase Orders, follow up with purchase/suppliers to expedite the materials delivery.
• To prioritize delivery dates as and when required by production. Monitoring the stock levels to always ensure materials availability.
• Working on shortage reports and ensuring smooth flow of activities in shop floor.
• Coordination with other departments i.e., production/warehouse/design/Sales and purchase.
• Strong communication and organizing skills.
