We are currently hiring highly skilled Welders for our clients in Australia.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this job you must have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience as a welder
• Able to follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and fabrication drawings
• Ability to weld in different positions using GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, MMAW
• Proficient in all aspects of welding and fabrication including marking out, operation of shearing machines, and assembly in accordance with WPS or fabrication drawings
• Experience in WQTR / WPQTR highly regarded
• Good English communication skills
• Be able to provide work references and salary evidence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Some common task that you may have to perform include:

• Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
• Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
• Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
