AUTO PAINTER

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years work experience
• Must have complete documents
• Must have vocational diploma/short course certificate holder in similar fields

Responsibilities:

• Follow supervisor and damage report instructions as to which parts needs to be prepped and painted and how much time the job should take.
• Perform a quality control to the work done by the denters according to the damage report, and ensures that all the parts needed are there.
• Sand the edges of the repair done by the denters before applying primer.
• On occasion perform minor body filling repairs before applying primer if required by the supervisor.
• Clean the surface and adjacent panels that are going to be painted.
• Notifies management of the need for any corrections by the denters before sanding and painting the damaged area.
• Carefully mask the areas and the vehicle before applying primer.
• Wear the supplied protective and respiratory equipment needed for safety.
• Apply primer with a spray gun on areas that were repaired.
• Sand primer according to procedures recommended by the paint manufacturer. Those procedures will be supplied on site.
