WRC Logistics SI Ltd is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations for heavy equipment, machinery, and project materials across the Solomon Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating transportation, equipment allocation, inventory management, and logistics support while ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in logistics, transport, construction, mining, shipping, or heavy equipment operations.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Land Transport, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations, transport logistics, equipment maintenance, and spare parts inventory management.
  • Familiarity with loading, transportation, and handling procedures for heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and logistics best practices.
  • Experience in construction, shipping, forestry, mining, or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work across office, warehouse, port, and field environments.
  • Willing to travel to project sites and inter-island locations within the Solomon Islands and work extended hours when operationally required.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise logistics operations involving heavy equipment, machinery, and construction materials.
  • Manage transportation, mobilization, and delivery schedules for equipment, materials, and project supplies.
  • Coordinate the allocation and deployment of heavy equipment to project sites and operational areas.
  • Monitor equipment utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and operational performance.
  • Work closely with mechanics, equipment operators, suppliers, contractors, and project teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping, transport, customs, inventory, and logistics documentation.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, spare parts inventory, and stock control activities.
  • Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of equipment parts, consumables, and operational supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards, transport regulations, and company policies.
  • Supervise logistics personnel, drivers, warehouse staff, and support teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Prepare logistics reports, operational updates, and performance summaries for management.
  • Assist in resolving equipment-related operational issues and coordinate with technical teams when required.
  • Maintain effective communication with shipping agents, freight providers, contractors, and transport service providers.
  • Support logistics operations involving forklifts, dump trucks, side loaders, generators, and other heavy equipment.
