GRAPECARE LTD is seeking a qualified Finishing Operator (Book Production) to set up, operate, maintain, and monitor bookbinding and finishing equipment, ensuring high-quality production output in accordance with manufacturing specifications and quality standards.

Finishing Operator (Book Production)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in book production or print finishing operations.
  • Must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating Müller Martini – Primera, Müller Martini – ACORO A5, Müller Martini Diamant, and Kolbus binding machines.
  • Skilled in setting up, adjusting, operating, maintaining, and monitoring binding equipment according to production schedules.
  • Experience with Perfect Binding V1 (softcover), Perfect Binding V2 (paperback), Perfect Binding V8 (hardcover), Hotmelt gluing, and PUR gluing systems.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and production accuracy requirements.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Müller Martini Primera, Müller Martini ACORO, Müller Martini Diamant, and Kolbus binding machines.
  • Adjust machine settings to achieve optimal production quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor machine performance and production output during operation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Use measuring tools and inspection devices to verify production accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform perfect binding and finishing operations for softcover, paperback, and hardcover products.
  • Operate Hotmelt and PUR gluing systems according to production requirements.
  • Maintain production records and report machine or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Follow workplace safety, housekeeping, and quality assurance procedures.
