AUDIT & ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in auditing and accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting and auditing standards and procedures
- Experience supporting audit engagements and working with multiple clients
- Ability to review financial statements, reports, and supporting documents
- Knowledge of internal controls, compliance procedures, and risk assessment
- Familiarity with auditing tools, documentation, and reporting processes
- Awareness of evolving IT risks, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Excellent command of the English language
- Must have a newly renewed passport
Responsibilities:
- Assist in accounting and auditing functions for various clients
- Support audit engagements in accordance with professional standards
- Prepare audit programs, schedules, and checklists based on audit objectives
- Review and analyze financial statements, departmental reports, and supporting documents
- Perform testing of internal controls and verify transactions
- Review accounting entries, invoices, receipts, and other financial records for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct spot checks on cash, inventories, fixed assets, and other sensitive areas
- Observe and document operational processes to ensure compliance with established procedures
- Assist in drafting audit findings, observations, and recommendations
- Identify potential fraud, inefficiencies, or irregularities and escalate to supervisors
- Maintain accurate audit documentation and working papers
- Stay updated on IT risks, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting audit and accounting practices
