Chemical Safety Inspector
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in chemical safety or related fields.
- Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Previous experience in evaluating chemical and pesticide hazards and their impacts on public health and the environment.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is preferred.
- Good knowledge of chemical safety management principles, regulations, and legislation.
- Strong skills in technical report writing and computer applications.
- Male applicants are preferred for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and study the hazardous impacts of chemicals and pesticides on public health and the environment.
- Supervise the storage, handling, and transportation of chemical materials to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor chemical safety management principles across projects.
- Ensure adherence to local and international chemical safety regulations and legislation.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, safety documentation, and risk assessments.
- Conduct inspections and audits to evaluate chemical safety compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on safe chemical practices and emergency procedures.
- Utilize computer systems and applications for data management, reporting, and analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe working environment and mitigate chemical risks.
