LATHE MACHINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Lathe Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience with both manual and CNC lathe machines.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further technical certification or training in machining is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe machines (manual or CNC) to perform cutting, drilling, and turning tasks on various materials (e.g., metal, plastic).
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machine setup and operations.
• Adjust machine settings (speed, feed rate, depth of cut) to ensure proper operation and desired specifications.
• Inspect and measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure conformance to tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines to ensure their proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any machine malfunctions or issues that arise during production.
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
• Document work activities, including machine settings, measurements, and production data for quality control and reporting purposes.
