Senior Estimator (Scaffolding)

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Engineering or any related course
• At least 3 years of related experience
• Experience in scaffolding or access systems
• Understanding of scaffold components and build methods
• Ability to conduct site inspections and assess risk
• Strong communication skills with clients and site teams
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously
• Proficiency with estimating tools, spreadsheets, and job management systems

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for pricing scaffolding works and managing the delivery of jobs once awarded. The role combines estimating, site assessment, coordination, and commercial oversight to ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the original estimate.
• The estimator retains ownership of jobs they win and acts as the primary link between the client, operations team, and site crews.
• Conduct site inspections and assess scaffold requirements
• Design practical scaffold solutions suitable for site conditions
• Prepare accurate estimates including labour, equipment, transport, and hire
• Develop clear scopes of work, inclusions, and exclusions
• Submit quotes in a timely manner and follow up where required
• Assist in closing awarded work
• Project Coordination
• Take ownership of jobs once awarded
• Coordinate labour, equipment, and deliveries with operations
• Liaise with clients, builders, and site managers
• Ensure scope and access requirements are clearly understood prior to mobilisation
• Manage variations, changes, and scope adjustments
• Resolve site and coordination issues as they arise
• Support supervisors and crews during job execution
• Monitor labour and equipment usage against estimates
• Identify risks, inefficiencies, or scope creep early
• Assist with variation pricing and approvals
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation
• Support management with job performance and margin tracking
• Reports to senior management.
• Accountable for estimate accuracy on jobs won.
• Accountable for coordination effectiveness and job execution alignment with the estimate.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
