WELDING FOREMAN

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 7 years working experience in welding supervision or related field
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or similar fields
• Strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, and welding procedures
• Able to manage welding qualification tests and production welding
• Experience coordinating with QC, NDT, and inspection teams
• Any combined construction experience of oil and gas, petrochemical, gas plant, Refinery, and power plant

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise welding crews during fabrication and construction activities
• Ensure welding work is executed according to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
• Manage welding qualification tests for welders and welding procedures
• Oversee production welding activities and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
• Coordinate with QC, NDT, and inspection teams to ensure weld quality and compliance
• Review welding drawings and ensure proper interpretation and execution
• Monitor welding consumables and equipment usage
• Conduct welding inspections and ensure corrective actions for defects
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
• Prepare reports on welding progress, productivity, and quality
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for welding teams
