Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair overhead crane systems in industrial and commercial facilities in Australia. The role requires strong technical expertise to ensure safe and efficient crane operations in compliance with Australian standards.
OVERHEAD CRANE TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Overhead Crane Technician or similar role
- At least 1-year Transcript of Records (TOR) from College or a Vocational course
- Strong knowledge of overhead crane systems and components
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and capable of working at heights and in industrial environments
- Willingness to work in Australia
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair overhead cranes and hoisting equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine safety inspections
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Repair or replace motors, brakes, wire ropes, chains, hooks, and control panels
- Conduct load testing and commissioning of crane systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Australian standards
- Maintain service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs
- Coordinate with site supervisors and safety officers
- Follow workplace safety procedures and risk assessments
