Team Leader (Mechanical)

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, mentor, and provide direction to mechanical technicians, engineers, or operators; handle shift planning and staffing.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, meeting quality, output, and uptime targets in areas like assembly, body shops, or maintenance workshops.
  • Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance; offer technical support, resolve issues, and make critical technical decisions.
  • Enforce manufacturer standards, safety protocols (PPE), environmental regulations, and workplace cleanliness (5S).
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement projects (e.g., lean manufacturing, efficiency).
  • Manage tools, equipment, spare parts, and allocate team members to tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records, log job details, and report on team performance.
  • Liaise with other departments (Purchasing, Systems) and potentially customers/suppliers on technical aspects.
