PARTS MANAGER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience as a Parts Interpreter, with proven track record in automotive parts operations.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems with proven inventory control, ordering, and stock management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, track profitability, negotiate with suppliers, and use inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven capability to lead, train, and motivate staff with strong customer and supplier communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Parts interpretation- Identify the correct parts required by internal and external clients.
  • Procurement conduct analysis to determine what to stock depending on models in market and sales history
  • Supply Chain- communicating and build relationships with factory and aftermarket part suppliers to source, negotiate and order parts from local and overseas vendors. This includes optimizing the most efficient freighting
  • parts from overseas suppliers to ensure on time delivery
  • Warehousing to ensure parts are properly shelved, labelled, located, rotated and stock taken to ensure stock accountability and availability
  • Parts database and Inventory management ensure parts digital database is kept accurate and up to date using correct labelling and coding. Ensure obsolete parts are identified and managed.
  • Sales and customer service manage parts team to ensure sales targets and goals are met.
