Echo cardiogram (2D ECHO)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in echocardiography
- Graduate of a 4-year Allied Health course (e.g., Radiologic Technology, Nursing, or related field)
- Must be a Professional License holder (Passed Board/Professional License Examination)
- Proven experience in performing non-invasive cardiac ultrasound (2D Echo) procedures
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and Doppler techniques
Responsibilities:
- Perform 2D echocardiograms and Doppler studies to assess cardiac structure and function
- Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort throughout the examination
- Properly position patients and monitor vital signs before, during, and after the procedure
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting technical settings such as beam depth, focus, gain, and signal to obtain high-quality images
- Utilize appropriate transducers to capture clear cardiac images and Doppler flow data
- Measure and analyze heart wall thickness, chamber dimensions, valve function, and blood flow velocity
- Compare findings against normal reference ranges and ensure accurate data recording
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital safety and infection-control standards
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams for accurate diagnosis and patient care
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and calibration of echocardiography equipment
