Panel Beater (Car O Liner Experience)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Has experience and knowledge in using Car O Liner System
• Must have experience in Car O Liner Systems

Responsibilities:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle body construction, welding techniques, and repair methods.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to operate various tools and equipment, including welding machines, hydraulic equipment, and power tools.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess damage, determine repair methods, and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the repair process.
• Damage Assessment: Evaluating the extent of damage to vehicle bodywork and determining the necessary repairs.
• Panel Removal and Replacement: Removing damaged panels and components by unbolting or cutting them away and replacing them with new or repaired panels.
• Panel Straightening and Repair: Straightening damaged panels using various techniques, including hammering, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic tools.
• Filling and Smoothing: Filling depressions with plastic filler, sanding, and filing repaired surfaces to achieve a smooth and flawless finish.
• Welding and Joining: Using oxyacetylene and electric welding equipment to join or replace sections of damaged panels.
• Chassis Alignment: Straightening and aligning the vehicles chassis to ensure proper alignment.
• Refitting Hardware: Refitting body hardware such as door locks, trims, and other accessories after repairs are complete.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, hours worked, and costs incurred.
