Cable Engineer

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 10 years work experience
• 132kV GIS & U/G Cable’s engineering, construction and commissioning capability
• Professional experience and extensive knowledge in extra high voltage GIS/Cable in QATAR/related to KARAMAA

Responsibilities:

• Review and approval of extra high voltage (132kV) gas insulated switchgear’s design basis, engineering specifications, vendor print, reports, drawings and calculations
• Review and approval of extra high voltage (132kV) underground cable’s route layouts, duct bank/trench and reports, calculations
• Involve in procurement activities by reviewing and checking Material Requisition, Purchase Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation, Vendor print package, etc.
• Technical knowledge of GIS, Telecom, Cable engineering as per KAHARAMAA specification, standard and practices.
• Working knowledge of codes and standards relative to electrical (extra high voltage) engineering.
• Skills related to SPEL (Smart Plant Electrical) software and MS office
