Head of Surveyor

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in construction surveying, including leadership roles.
• Proficiency in GPS, total stations, theodolites, and GIS software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, land laws, and geodetic principles
• Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is preferred.
• Language: Good command of English (Verbal and Written).
• Multilingual communication skills (especially in English)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all surveying operations from pre-construction through project completion.
• Lead site surveys during tender and planning stages to verify topography, boundaries, and site conditions.
• Manage and mentor a team of surveyors, ensuring proper training, performance, and adherence to standards.
• Review and approve survey data, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Monitor control points and benchmarks to prevent displacement or loss.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction managers to integrate survey data into design and execution plans.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between site conditions and project specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of survey activities, including sketches, maps, and reports.
• Attend project meetings to address survey-related concerns and provide technical input.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and legal boundaries.
