SKILLED CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• Must be a College Graduate or any Vocational Course Attainment
• Must be 5+ years’ experience in abroad
• English proficiency (IELTS/PTE)
• Proven in formwork carpentry and concrete construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing formwork using wood, metal or plastic
• Valid Passport, TESDA Cert, Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

• The person in this position will be responsible for ongoing maintenance/ building work which will include but not be limited to new structure/office builds, construction of agricultural buildings, extensions and maintenance to existing accommodation buildings both rented and by the farm owner as well as maintenance and extensions to warehouse/production commercial buildings.
• The role will also include minor maintenance to farm buildings, offices, poultry sheds and miscellaneous structures. This work may also involve welding, minor fencing, furniture repair and or assembly.
• Consult and collaborate with the Construction Manager – Construction and Services, Farm Managers, other Divisional/Departmental Managers, and any others as necessary to perform tasks. Typical tasks will include but will not be limited to the following, in accordance with the established work practices and Standard
• Building work- Accommodation extensions, office extensions
• Renovations- Bathrooms, Kitchens, re-roofing, re-stumping
• Cool room panel buildings- Repairs and new builds
• Maintain all building infrastructure – including sheds, houses and miscellaneous structures.
• Undertake basic plumbing works as required.
• Manufacture components of new builds as required.
• Supervise/Train apprentices, junior tradespeople, and laborers
• Participate in toolbox meetings.
• Complete all required paperwork ie. Take 5’s, Risk assessments, take offs
• Requirement to attend potential call outs as required

Requirements:

• Passport (more than 6 months validity)
• English Test IELTS Band Score of 5 , if any
• Academic Transcript (High School, College, Graduate Studies
• Employment History (where Applicable)
• Updated CV/Resume
• Certificate of Training (Related)
• NBI/POLICE Clearance
• Valid Government IDs
