TRAILER REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Male, 25 years old and above Must be fit to work
  • 5+ years of verifiable, consistent & proven work experience
  • Specialized training or experience in trailer- specific systems (braking, suspension, electrical) is a significant advantage.
  • Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicle and truck trailers
  • Experience with trailer braking systems (air brakes, ABS/EBS) is essential
  • Welding and fabrication skills specific to trailer repairs
  • Experience with trailer electrical systems.
  • At least one (1) year of vocational or one (1) year college education is preferred to exempt candidates from English language proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL or PTE). However, candidates who have not completed this level of education will be required to take one of these English language tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Trailer System Diagnosis:
    • Identifying faults within trailer braking systems (air brakes, ABS/EBS)
    • Diagnosing issues in trailer suspension systems (air suspension, leaf spring)
    • Troubleshooting and repairing trailer electrical systems (lighting, wiring harnesses)
    • Detecting and resolving problems with trailer axle and wheel assemblies
  • Trailer Repair and Maintenance:
    • Repairing and replacing damaged trailer
    • components (brake chambers, air lines, suspension components, axles, lights)
    • Performing routine maintenance on trailer braking, suspension, and electrical systems.
    • Welding and fabrication work specific to trailer chassis and body repairs
    • Repairing and maintaining trailer coupling systems.
    • Repairing and maintaining trailer body components, like doors, and panels
  • Trailer Inspections and Testing:
    • Conducting detailed inspections of trailer braking, suspension, and electrical systems to ensure compliance with roadworthiness standards.
    • Testing repaired trailer systems using specialized diagnostic equipment.
    • Performing brake testing and adjustment.
    • Documenting all trailer repair and maintenance work

  • Police Clearance (In all overseas country you worked for at least 12 months)
  • Pay Slip (previous employer up to present)
