Steel Spray Painter

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a spray painter.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques.
  • Familiarity with breathing masks and protective clothing.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and clean steel members for painting.
  • Read and follow detailed paint specifications.
  • Mix and apply a variety of coatings, including zinc phosphate-based, single-pack, two-pack, and intumescent paints.
  • Operate spray equipment and ensure correct nozzle selection for optimal application.
  • Measure and maintain proper wet and dry film thickness during application.
  • Inspect and assess finished coatings for quality assurance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and efficient material usage to minimize waste.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition, including cleaning paint lines, pumps, and spray guns.
  • Use overhead cranes safely to handle and turn beams.
