Dress Pattern Maker/Cutter

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dress Pattern Maker/Cutter, preferably in the fashion or tailoring industry.
• Strong knowledge of pattern-making and garment construction techniques.
• Proficiency in using pattern-making tools and equipment (manual and digital).
• Ability to read and interpret technical sketches or fashion designs.
• Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and their cutting requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills for pattern adjustments and modifications.
• Education or certification in fashion design, tailoring, or a related field is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and interpret patterns for various types of clothing based on client or designer specifications.
• Cut fabric accurately using patterns, ensuring minimal material waste.
• Collaborate with designers and tailors to ensure the garment meets quality standards.
• Make adjustments to patterns for different sizes and body types.
• Use manual and digital tools (such as CAD software) for pattern creation.
• Inspect fabric and materials for defects before cutting.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Stay updated on fashion trends and new pattern-making techniques.
