Information Security Analyst (CyberSecurity)

Qualifications:

• A university degree with industry training and certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance, or a related field of cyber security.
• 2+ years of relevant experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management, cloud and on premise environments, Linux and Microsoft operating systems including CLI, Microsoft 365, Defender solutions, forensics tools, scripting languages & backups.
• Demonstrated experience in the production of system-specific security documentation artefacts aligned to the ISM of documentation.
• Technical knowledge of enterprise-class technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and desktop and server operating systems.
• Proficiency with Windows PowerShell.
• Working experience with the following technology vendors and products: Splunk Cloud, Rapid7 Nexpose Vulnerability Scanner, Sophos Antivirus, Varonis DatAlert, ForeScout CounterACT.
• Demonstrated experience conducting security risk analysis of ICT systems and assessing the cyber threat, inherent vulnerabilities and the likelihood and consequences of adverse cyber threat activity.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and/or enforcing security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, Cobit, and ISO.
• Be a proficient problem-solver that is able to work autonomously.
• To do reverse engineering which allows an analyst to understand the function of security software which analyzes malware.
• CISM, CISSP or other cyber security qualifications (desirable).
• Desirable skills include experience working with multiple customers and antivirus/firewalls/IDS/IPS/web filtering exposure

Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitor the environment to detect and implement steps to mitigate cyber-attacks before they occur.
• Provides technical expertise regarding security-related concepts to operational teams within the Information Technology Department and the business.
• Review, investigate, and respond to real-time alerts within the environment.
• Review real-time and historical reports for security and/or compliance violations.
• Monitor online security-related resources for new and emerging cyber threats.
• Assesses new security technologies to determine potential value for the enterprise.
• Conducts vulnerability assessments of firm systems and networks.
• Manage systems owned by the Information Security Team.
• Prepare documentation about the security breaches and the damage caused
• Providing guidance to amateur computer users when they want to know about security procedures.
• Research about the newest security technology that best suits to safeguard your organization
