CAMP BOSS

Qualifications:

• Male applicants
• Relevant Diploma/Certificate especially in Food safety and hygiene
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role or supervisory role
• Relevant industry experience, including proven management skills in a similar catering operation
• Demonstrate an understanding of operating a catering department according to strict budgetary constraints
• Customer service experience
• Demonstrate computer literacy – Microsoft word, excel and outlook
• Good communication skills with the ability to maintain a good working relationship between company staff, customers, clients, and management.
• Possess a strong commitment to teamwork
• Be a strong team leader and mentor
• Ability to work with colleagues in a co-operative and non-conflicting manner

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the day-to-day routines within the catering, facilities, accommodation, and food services provided under the terms of the contract are managed to the satisfaction of the client standard.
• Continually monitor the standard of operations and ensure that contractual obligations are met.
• Administer all documentation for catering facilities, accommodation, food safety, (HACCP) work instructions and procedures.
• Menu planning and ordering food provisions, cleaning materials within the allocated budget.
• Including in duties is working in the galley for food preparation and food service.
• Order correct quantities of stock to avoid waste and food shortages.
• Ensure all deliveries are checked and stored in compliance with the company’s procedures
• Ensure that good stock rotation procedures are followed (first in, first out) to minimize the wastage of stock.
• Conduct accurate stock takes and document, any discrepancies report back to Projects Manager.
• Ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and receive the necessary training and guidance to improve overall performance.
• Ensure employees under their supervision work in a healthy and safe and are environmentally aware.
• Report any unsafe acts or conditions to the safety ofβicer and Project manager as soon as possible.
• Ensure that any customer complaints are dealt with to the customer’s satisfaction and forwarded to the project manager for analysis and comment.
• Complete end of month reports in a timely manner and send to projects Manager.
• Ensure that materials, such as chemicals, are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and MSDS sheets (Example: dilutions, storage, harmful effects etc.).
• Ensure compliance with all catering policies and procedures, including adherence to all client’s health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out other duties as requested by the projects manager that could further enhance the overall service and efficient running of the catering operation.
