MEDICAL CODING TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience in an acute care hospital Medical Record Department as a Coder of inpatient records, inclusive of ICD10-CM coding or equivalent and statistical compilation.
• International accreditation experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Clinical Coding or HIM
• Must have work experience in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately code inpatient records: Utilize ICD-10-CM or equivalent for precise coding and statistical compilation of inpatient records in an acute care hospital setting.
• Ensure compliance with international standards: Apply experience with international accreditation to maintain high-quality coding practices and meet accreditation requirements.
• Analyze and compile medical data: Perform statistical analysis and compilation of medical records to support hospital reporting and decision-making.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams: Work with medical staff to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient records.
• Leverage regional expertise: Utilize experience in the Saudi healthcare system to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
