PROJECT ACCOUNTANTS are needed for BL Harbert International, a leading American design-build & MEP Engineering services construction company with a project based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. 

PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Professional Certification (CA or CPA).
• Minimum of 5 years’ related experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with JD Edwards Accounting Software.
• Knowledge of local tax law.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to respect confidential information.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounts payable.
• Ensure the completion of all accounting and administrative documents.
• Manage administration of petty cash.
• Review job cost activity.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Perform month-end close.
• Manage Accounting Assistants.
• Coordinate with local managers, vendors and bank.
• Communicate regularly with Finance and Administration Manager to report up to date information.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
