Electrical Protection Supervisor LOA

Qualifications:

• Age 25 to 45 years old
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical protection systems in HV/EHV Substations or a related role, with at least 3years in a Permit requester position.
• Experience working in energized substations is Mandatory.
• Relevant electrical certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Hold and maintain a valid Limit of Access (LOA) for specific electrical protection duties in energized substations.
• Keep the LOA current and renew as necessary.
• Facilitate communication between the Site team, Project management, and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical protection systems in energized substations.
• Ensure all electrical protection systems activates comply with industry standards, regulations, and SEC policies.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, especially in energized substations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Coordinate and lead the response to electrical emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment in energized substations.
• Liaise with SEC Operation and Maintenance Department during incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical protection system activities, including Testing, commissioning, and incidents.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
