Rotating Equipment Engineer
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Required: 5-7 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 3-5 years at similar position.
- Preferred: Similar Experience in Petrochemicals Industry.
- Expertise in process safety, engineering control principles, performance management
- Hands-on experience in vibration monitoring and analysis, preventive maintenance auditing, inspection policies drafting/ management.
- Ability to conduct technical training, root cause analysis.
- In-depth understanding of oil analysis, failure mode& effect analysis
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Integrity and Reliability of Plant Rotating equipment by Developing inspection and testing programs to mitigate all identified risks that may cause a hazardous chemical release and/or production loss.
- Supervise the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that it is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with Company Mechanical Integrity Program for Rotating Machines
- Conduct criticality ranking and analysis of all rotating machinery.
- Ensure that the inspection and testing program is executed as per schedule.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinates external audits Failure Analysis of equipment
- Conduct Root cause analysis on repeated failures and Safety Critical equipment failures.
- Generate equipment inspection reports with recommendations.
- Coordinate with OEM and other external experts as required for investigations.
- Coordinate destructive analysis of failed components as required for investigations Reliability of Rotating Machinery
- Support/lead the reliability improvement team activities.
- Conduct the prioritization of reliability improvement opportunities using different reliability analysis tools.
- Maintain the equipment history and other records like maintenance, failure etc.
- Support implementation of the modifications required to improve the reliability.
- Review and analyze the exception reports and provide recommendations/corrective actions.
- Ensure effective implementation of the vibration monitoring program.
- Prepare technical specification for procurement of new rotating machinery.
- Evaluate technical proposals, review Inspection test plans, conduct Inspections, witness factory acceptance testing.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes, and practices taking into account ’international leading practices’ in order to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Provide critical input to support the development of Equipment Reliability Section’s systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.
- Ensure team members comply with all Equipment Reliability Section’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across Equipment Reliability Section to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
- Prepare relative reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
